TCL Consulting LLC is a Texas based consulting firm specializing in securing financing for small businesses that are planning to start a new business venture or planning to expand their existing business. The company was formed in 2009 during the midst of the financial crisis by Jennie Philbeck after the bank where she was employed ceased operations. After over more than a decade of being employed by banks as a Business Development Officer, she decided to form her own business utilizing her experience in generating business, underwriting, and closing loans to represent other small business owners. In addition, she is a licensed real estate agent specializing in commercial real estate. The background as a small business owner and in real estate is an invaluable asset since businesses may be planning to lease or purchase real estate.
The loan process can be overwhelming, stressful, and time consuming. Our goal is to make the process as stress free as possible and to secure the best loan terms possible. We represent the business owner, not the lender, enabling us to communicate with numerous lenders before a loan package is submitted. There are numerous existing lenders with each offering different types of loans, loan terms and requirements, such as interest rate, maximum LTV’s, cash injections, personal guarantees, additional collateral, prepayment penalties, etc.
We assist the business owner throughout the financing process starting with reviewing the financials, then recommending a loan structure based on the type of project that best fits the owner’s financial requirements. Additional services include providing forms designed by TCL Consulting specifically for our clients that ensure all project costs are included in the loan application, reviewing projections, demographics, writing the business plan if needed, evaluating each lenders’ terms, and submitting a complete loan package. Most importantly, we are there to be the business owner’s advocate throughout the process from submission to loan approval and funding.
Statement of Qualifications and Experience
Jennie Philbeck is a Licensed Texas Commercial Realtor with Realty Associates, a member of CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) and Houston Assoc. of Realtors (HAR).
Jennie has 22 years of experience in Conventional and SBA lending including two years as a franchise relationship manager originating, underwriting, and closing SBA loans nationwide. She assisted businesses with their loan applications, assuring complete and correct information to present to loan committee, and throughout the process of closing and funding.
Prior small business owner of a small restaurant with gift shop, Jennie was a partner in an oil and gas engineering firm, and a partner in a pressure vessel fabrication firm.
